It raises your floor, not your ceiling

This is the honest summary and it is worth getting straight before anything else. A strong competitive player beats about 81 percent country accuracy comfortably in the regions they have drilled. What they do not do is hold that standard everywhere. Ranked sets are long, and the rounds that cost you are the ones in the regions you never learned, where you place a pin two countries out and hand over a full round.

An assist is consistent in exactly those places. Around 4,000 points a round, everywhere, is not a spectacular number for a single round and it is a very good number sustained across a set. The gain is in variance, not in peak.

Why 3 seconds is the number that matters

In a duel the clock is the constraint, not the geography. A prediction that lands in about 3 seconds leaves you room to look at what is actually on screen, decide whether you agree, and place. A prediction that takes ten seconds is a prediction you place blind or ignore. That is why the speed was the design constraint from the start rather than something optimised afterwards.

Use assist mode, not the bot

If you care how the round ends, you want assist mode: it shows the predicted country, the coordinates and a pin, and you decide. That matters because roughly one round in five the country is wrong, and a competitive player can usually tell when the picture disagrees with the suggestion. The unattended bot exists for grinding sessions you are not watching, and with nobody there to override it, a confident wrong pin goes in unchallenged.

The risk, stated plainly

Using any assistance in Ranked or Duels is against the rules, and nobody can promise you it will not be noticed. Anyone selling you an undetectable competitive advantage is telling you something they cannot know. ATLAS does not inject code into the game and does not touch your account session, which removes one of the more obvious detection surfaces, but that is a narrower claim than safety and we are not going to dress it up as one.

The players who keep their accounts tend to use it in Classic and unranked, and study by hand for the ladder. If your rank has years in it, that is the split worth copying.

• Windows 10 or 11. The full desktop assistant is Windows only; other systems get the browser extension, which does not play for you.
• A GeoGuessr account with access to the modes you want to play.
• One licence key, which also covers the browser extension.
