ATLAS runs where you play

Not one program. A Windows app, a browser extension and a phone app, and every one of them answers to the same license key. Here is what each can actually do.

Windows

The full app
  • The only version with the complete auto-bot: it starts the game, reads each round, places the guess and moves on by itself
  • Classic, Duels, Team Duels and the Daily Challenge
  • Move, No Move and NMPZ
  • Never touches the GeoGuessr page. It reads the screen from outside, the way a person looking at a monitor does
  • Bot Scheduler, ELO tracker and a weakness map
Windows 10 or 11, 8 GB of RAM, 2 GB of disk. A graphics card helps but is not required, because the heavy scoring runs on our servers.

GeoGuessr on Steam

Through the Windows app
  • The Steam edition is supported directly, not through a browser window pretending to be it
  • All three modes, driven by the same desktop app and the same key
  • You switch it on inside the app, there is nothing separate to install
  • The key you already own covers it, there is no Steam add-on to buy
Windows only. The Steam edition has no Mac build and the publisher has not announced one, so there is nothing for a Mac version of ATLAS to attach to.

Chrome

And Chromium browsers
  • Free to try: 7 rounds, no account and no download
  • A side panel next to the game with the location, the country and the confidence
  • Hands free mode places the guess, submits it and moves to the next round. It stops at the end of the game rather than starting another one
  • Works on OpenGuessr as well as GeoGuessr
Any operating system Chrome runs on, macOS included. Brave and other Chromium browsers use the same build.

Firefox

Version 128 and newer
  • The same extension, the same key and the same panel as on Chrome
  • Opens from the toolbar sidebar button, because Firefox does not let a page open the sidebar for you
  • Free to try, same 7 rounds
  • It still drops the pin for you here. What stays on Chrome is pressing Guess and walking on to the next round
Firefox 128 or newer, on any operating system. Installed from Firefox Add-ons, so it updates itself.

macOS

Through the browser
  • The extension runs on a Mac unchanged, in Chrome or in Firefox
  • The same key you would use on a PC, so you do not buy a Mac version
  • Everything the extension does on a PC it does here, hands free submitting included if you use Chrome
  • There is no Mac desktop app, so the full auto-bot is not available here
Being straight about it: this is the browser extension on a Mac, not a Mac build of the app. If the unattended bot is what you want, you want the Windows app.

iPhone and iPad

New in v1.7
  • The ATLAS app, unlocked with the key you already have
  • Country, town and direction on screen while you play, and it can place the guess for you
  • Prefer to install nothing? There is a panel that runs in Safari instead
  • Several install routes, with and without a computer
The install page walks through every route and tells you which one fits your phone, including the one to avoid because it breaks the Google sign in GeoGuessr uses.

Android

Phones and tablets
  • Two routes are being built, one for a stock phone and one for a rooted phone
  • The plan is the same key again, no separate Android purchase
  • Not out yet, so there is nothing to download here and no date to promise
In development

One key covers every platform on this list. Nothing renews, and you never buy twice.
