ATLAS v1.5: Half the Download, a Bot That Never Stops & Automatic Updates

v1.5.5

The v1.5 series is the biggest quality of life release ATLAS has had. The download dropped from around 7.5 GB to under 4 GB, updates now install themselves, and the bot no longer quietly gives up when something goes wrong mid session. It recovers and keeps playing.

We also put together a release video that shows what playing with ATLAS actually looks like in 2026:

What changed

Area Before Now (v1.5) Change
Download size About 7.5 GB Under 4 GB 47% smaller
Updates Redownload the app Automatic in the launcher Hands free
Update safety Standard downloads Every update verified Signed releases
Bot sessions Could stop quietly on errors Recovers and keeps playing Full sessions

Half the download

ATLAS ships with a lot of AI on board, and until now that meant a roughly 7.5 GB download split across four parts. In v1.5 we stripped everything the app does not actually use at play time. The result is the same engine, the same accuracy, at under 4 GB in three parts. On a normal connection that saves a serious amount of install time, and reinstalling on a new machine is far less painful.

Nothing about the predictions changed because of the slimming. We verified the trimmed engine produces exactly the same output as the full one before shipping it.

A bot that never quietly stops

The most common support message we used to get was some version of "the bot just stopped at round 37". In v1.5 the bot is built around one rule: it never silently stops, degrades, or crashes. If the browser hiccups, a page loads slowly, or a round ends in an unexpected state, the bot detects it, recovers, and continues the session. If something truly unrecoverable happens, it tells you loudly instead of leaving you guessing.

Combined with the measured 81% country accuracy, this is what makes overnight sessions and long rank climbs practical: you start a session, walk away, and come back to finished games.

Automatic, verified updates

From v1.5 on you never download ATLAS twice. The launcher checks for the latest version, downloads only what changed, and verifies every file against a cryptographic signature before it runs. You always get the real, untampered release, without visiting the site or Discord for a new installer.

How to update

If you already run ATLAS, there is nothing to do. The launcher picks up v1.5 automatically and your license, settings, and session history carry over. New to ATLAS? The complete guide walks you through setup in about four minutes.
