GeoGuessr Bots Compared: How to Judge One Before You Pay
Anyone can claim a bot. A forum thread, a cropped screenshot of a 5,000 point round, a Discord invite and a payment link is the whole product for a lot of this category. This page is not a product pitch. It is the six checks that separate software that works from software that does not, and we run ATLAS through all six at the bottom including the parts where it comes off badly. Why this page is a checklist and not a ranking
We deliberately do not rank named sellers. Most of them are anonymous, most listings outlive the software, and a comparison table of names would be out of date within a month and unfair to whoever is still shipping. What does not go out of date is the set of questions. Ask a seller these six things and the answers sort the category for you faster than any list we could write.
The six checks
1. One uncut video of a full round. From the panorama loading to the score screen, no cuts. A screenshot of a good guess costs nothing to fake. A continuous recording of the software running does not. This single question ends most conversations.
2. A published accuracy number, with the method. Not the best round, the average across a stated number of real rounds. If nobody will say how many rounds and when, the number is decoration.
3. A maker you can reach before you pay. An account that answers a technical question in public is worth more than any testimonial. Anonymous sellers who only take direct messages are the norm in this category and it is the norm that costs people money.
4. Refund terms in writing. Written down somewhere that is not a chat message you can be blocked from reading.
5. An update history. The game changes. Software that reads the game has to change with it. A tool with no visible release history is either finished or abandoned, and from outside those look identical.
6. An honest answer about the rounds it loses. Every predictor is wrong sometimes. A seller who cannot describe the failure cases has either not measured them or is hiding them.
Bot or solver, and why it matters
A solver shows you the predicted location and you place the pin. A bot places the guess and works through the round without you. They are different products with different risk. The bot is the one that plays unattended, so it is also the one that can play a whole session badly if the engine is off that day. ATLAS runs both from the same engine, and assist mode is the safer default because a person still approves every pin. Sellers who use the two words interchangeably usually have not built either.

No bot is undetectable, and anyone who tells you theirs is has told you something they cannot know. Unattended play in ranked lobbies carries risk regardless of which tool places the pin. That is a decision about your account, not a feature of the software.
Frequently asked questions
Ask for one uncut video of a full round, from the moment the panorama loads to the score screen, with no cuts. Almost every scam in this category dies at that request, because a still screenshot of a good guess costs nothing to fake and an unbroken recording of the software actually working does not. After that, check whether the seller publishes an accuracy number and says how it was measured.
Be suspicious of anything above the low nineties on country. ATLAS names the correct country about 81 percent of the time across more than 1,600 real ranked rounds measured in July 2026, and that is a strong number for real play. Figures in the high nineties usually come from a curated test set rather than live rounds, or from a tool that reads coordinates out of the page rather than predicting from the image, which is a different product with a different risk profile.
